NYC Gum Floor is Adopt-A-Highway for NYC subway platforms. A soon-to-be 501c3 nonprofit, NYCGF is committed to igniting a citywide dialogue on the pressing need for cleaner, safer NYC subway platforms and entrances, revitalizing them through cutting-edge, sponsor-supported 💵 💵 💵 deep-cleaning initiatives—featuring viral power-washing events 🧼 🫧 🔫. Our mission is to elevate underground safety and quality of life for 8.2 million residents and millions of visitors by banishing decades of grime and boosting urban health. By connecting financial sponsors with public infrastructure, we strive to supercharge New York City’s economy, inspire civic pride, and deliver a more dignified transit experience for all.
NYC is a brand. NYC needs a re-brand.

Who NYCGF is a creative incubator of NYC creative and business professionals. Aiming to serve as a conduit between individual financial sponsors and the public infrastructure of the city and state of NY, we sit at the crossroads of Economic Development, Urban Health, and Arts + Culture.

What A fun and viral campaign built around the financial sponsoring and deep-cleaning of NYC MTA subway stations by sponsors (ad agencies, PR firms, global brands, NYC-loving icons, museums, universities, large NYC corporations, et al). A re-birth of NYC’s economy. A global marketing/PR campaign for our station sponsors. The removal of NYC’s “Gum Floor”: ~tens of millions of pieces of blackened gum and grime via new, powerful + cost-efficient cleaning equipment. A thank you to the city for getting us through the pandemic.

Where NYC’s 472 MTA platforms, stairwells, and entrances.

When We’re aiming our intro blast at Spring 2025 💦🌷 at a special and gross location in Midtown. NYC Gum Floor will exist and function for as long as it takes to A) get all stations cleaned from top to bottom, and B) ensure the city and it’s partners have the resources and ability to ensure future, bi-annual, comprehensive station cleanings.

Why To bring global attention, business and networking opportunities, and tiered perks to station sponsors (you). To help NYC (~$200 billion in debt), NY State (~$180 billion in debt), the MTA (~$50 billion in debt), and their cleaning partners. To jump-start the economy and avoid NYC’s commercial real estate and banking industries from defaulting. To promote safety and sanity underground, bringing dignity to 8.2 million residents and ~68 million annual visitors. To make NYC not one of the dirtiest cities in the world, & to have some fun 💦 🕺🏽

Whaaat The current price of [inefficiently] outsourcing station cleaning starts around ~$50,000 for one time…for one station. The gum and grime remain. Working with The MTA and it’s partners, we’ll be able to ensure station platforms and spaces get cleaned entirely, for lower cost. Where needed, we’ll equip cleaning partners with new, state-of-the-art equipment.

Whoa 75% of each sponsor’s donation will go to the adopted station. The remaining 25% will go to the least-funded stations, ensuring total blastage 🧼 🫧 🔫 Certain donor tiers will be able to win tickets to special red carpet, underground performances and events in newly-cleaned stations and secret historic ones. *These are estimates, which may change over time.
This is a Win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-WIN-WIN
This is a win 🏆 for all involved: for our sponsors (ad agencies, PR firms, global brands, icons, influencers, universities, museums, large NYC corporations, pharma companies), for the Mayor’s office, for local businesses, for NYC’s commercial and private real estate sectors, for The MTA, for NY State, for visitors, and for us, the people who live here.
